The construction of rural ideology is an essential part of the CPC's rural work. It is a political process in which the legitimacy of the CPC's governance is gradually recognized by the rural people. The construction of the CPC's rural ideology has gone through such stages as gestation and opening, tortuous exploration, restoration and adjustment, and continuous improvement. Summarizing the 100-year experience of the CPC's leadership in the construction of rural ideology, and explaining profoundly the basic principles, central issues, organizational guarantees, value stances, internal requirements and effective ways of the construction of rural ideology, it would be useful for constructing a more value-oriented and reality-targeted rural ideology and of great theoretical and practical significance for the comprehensive promotion of ideological construction under the background of rural revitalization in the new era.
