Abstract:The promotion mechanism for digital empowerment of women’s entrepreneurship is a research topic that has not yet been fully explored. Based on the empowerment theory, we conducted an in-depth exploration by selecting 12 entrepreneurial women’s development cases, and deeply analyze how digitalization empowers women’s entrepreneurship to leap from “0” to “1”. Research found that there are differences in digital empowerment mechanisms during the incubation stage, initial stage, and ongoing stage of entrepreneurship; The incubation stage of entrepreneurship mainly includes such mechanisms as knowledge spillover and absorption empowerment, low threshold entry empowerment, and information exchange and dissemination empowerment. The initial stage of entrepreneurship mainly includes such mechanisms as product decision-making empowerment, market reshaping empowerment, and digital innovation product empowerment. The ongoing stage of entrepreneurship mainly includes such mechanisms as resource cost empowerment, collaborative empowerment, online platform empowerment, business process reengineering empowerment, and trait empowerment. The research conclusion has important theoretical value in revealing the mechanism of women’s entrepreneurship promotion in the digital economy, and also provides practical guidance for promoting women’s entrepreneurial activity.
