Abstract:This paper adopts the panel data of 239 cities in China from 2005 to 2016, uses spatial panel measurement model(SEM and SAR), and constructs two spatial weight matrices of geographic adjacency and geographic distance, and empirically analyzes the productivity of manufacturing service industry. Studies have shown that the producer service industry can not only improve the manufacturing efficiency of the region, but also enhance the efficiency of its neighboring regions and manufacturing through spatial spillover effects. There is a certain difference in the role of the productive services industry in each region in improving the efficiency of manufacturing. The lifting effect in the area of Yangtze Delta is significantly higher than other are-as, also, the central area has the least effect and the insignificant spatial spillover. Foreign direct investment,R&D intensity, manufacturing agglomeration, traffic environment and knowledge spillover environment have all contributed significantly to the improvement of manufacturing efficiency.
